I’ve been using the St. Ives Scrub in Green Tea for so long now.. why didn’t anyone tell me about this product any sooner. Maybe it’s my fault that I didn’t even bother looking to alternatives because I was so reliant on how cheap the St. Ives scrub was. I was completely wrong. You should avoid St. Ives at all cost.. (google if you don’t know why).

Anyways, this Black Sugar Mask is HG status for sure. The sugar feels gentle enough, but definitely still feels like a scrub. I use this when I’m in the shower, and while I massage it into my skin, the sugar particles melts and dissolves, which I really like and is nothing I would expect from a St. Ives scrub.

The citrus scent is a little overpowering for me, so anyone who is sensitive to scents should be caution.
I use a spatula with this, since I don’t want any water going into the product and avoid it getting contaminated with my fingers.

I have combination skin, leaning more towards the drier side, and I would definitely repurchase this product! Maybe I’ll try the strawberry version next though :)
