I bought this because I had a lot of acne and I was looking to get back into cushion foundations again because they're so convenient.
PROS:
- good for acne--didn't irritate my skin and the formula felt really nice
- nice packaging--slim and pretty
- coverage amount--still had to conceal big spots, but mild discoloration was blurred a bit so this gave good "natural" coverage. my skin didn't look strangely not mine like heavy coverage usually does.
- wears pretty nicely--cushions will fade with time, and when this faded I didn't notice anything crazy happening on my face.
CONS:
- warm undertones--I bought this knowing it was yellow toned, but I'm just putting it out there that there aren't cool options available. (Wish there were more options; it's usually pretty hard to find cool tones in cushion compacts, let alone good formulations with cool tones) It's not HORRIBLY mismatched, but I definitely need to do the rest of my makeup and make sure my outfit goes with the warmer tones to disguise the slight undertone mismatch.
- small packaging--there isn't that much product in here, and i'm afraid i'm gonna run out of it fast.
- takes a while to apply--for me, the whole purpose of cushions is to speed up makeup application. that's kind of difficult when i need to disguise the undertone mismatch and do 2 layers to build the coverage.
So I give it 3 stars. If you have warm undertones with lighter skin, the shades should be ok for you and I think you'd like this product better than I do. This isn't going to hide angry acne or things that need color correction like really bad dark circles or major hyperpigmentation, but cushions aren't meant to hide those things alone. Worthwhile if you're struggling with your skin and think foundation might be a contributor.
(for reference, in the picture my arm is a bit red but i'm usually a ghost white on my wrist/face with pink undertones. I bought the lightest shade, which I believe is Light Beige)
