I'll begin this review with stating that if you already own a dewy lightweight cushion then it's unlikely you'll find this one as strikingly different in longevity or feel but it certainly is a nice option with a very unique case.
Like the name suggests this cushion is hydrating and leaves the skin with a fresh faced glow, however it is not overly dewy and instead perfects the complexion. The coverage is light and not very build able but on the face it is very natural. The scent is extremely light (same as miracle moisture skincare which is a huge face of mine) and does not linger unlike the Hera cushions which can leave my face smelling for hours on end which is nice at first but tiresome after you want the damn smell to disappear.
O HUI in general does get enough love but In the few times I have used this cushion I have had no complaints aside the low coverage and longevity which is also kinda eh.
What I do love is how this does not make my face look oily despite being a dewy cushion and does not pull at dry patches either hence the hydration it provides.
To my surprise this came with a cushion base ( sheer base) so that was nice bonus! All together I think this cushion is of actually of very good value due to including
- 2 refills
- 1 sheer base cushion
The two refills is already amazingly generous and daunting as It takes my months to use up a cushion and in the mean time i'm always trying new things
Shade wise the selection is very limited your either 1 or 2 After looking up reviews on naver I determined myself to be 01 and upon swatching on face in real life the shade is perfect for me it is very neutral and not overly yellow. I will admit due to sheerness there likely is enough wiggle room for individuals of different undertones (cools, pinks, yellows and neutrals) to make this work, but YMMV if you prefer having a pink undertone compared to a neutral one.
As a side note note this cushion is only compatible with OHUi refills but comes with mirror and a nice air puff.
Finally I have included comparisons to other cushions so you can compare shades!! The other cushions I swatched were
- Maybelline dream cushion in porcelain 10 ( shades works perfect for me)
- ohui in 01
- Hera UV mist cushion cover in C21 vanilla ( more yellow toned)
- The faceshop CC ultra moist in v103 pure beige ( lightest of the bunch, looks oily not dewy and no lasting power can't drag it hard enough)
- Sulwhasoo perfecting brightening in 21 medium pink ( warmer and little more orangish/pinkish still a lovely cushion and works once blended extremely similar to OHUI in wear and finish but more $$$)
