This is a lovely cream. The first time I tried it, I immediately felt and saw a difference in my skin in contrast to my previous moisturizer. I loved it so much that I ordered a second jar of this shortly after I ordered my first, because I wanted it to arrive before winter settled in for risk of it getting frozen in-transit.
It has a unique sort of texture that may put off some people, but I personally like it. It’s got a stretchy, stringy sort of bouncy texture that is somewhat similar to some snail creams, but this is stretchier. I think it’s yam creams that have a similar sort of stretchiness to it. Apparently this has a lot of herbal ingredients in it, so it might have some yam in it that is causing the stringy, stretchy texture.
It has a mild floral scent that smells ever so slightly artificial, but it is not too bad. It also doesn’t hurt my sensitive skin. It is very slightly sticky when applied, but it absorbs and doesn’t leave any unpleasant stickiness. I’ve found that this is an excellent base for my makeup, I guess the slightly sticky texture helps my makeup to adhere to my skin better.
I mostly use this during the daytime under my makeup and not so much in the evening. It would be an excellent night cream, though, if mixed with a facial oil. The quality of the cream is great and it lasts quite a long while, though the amount inside doesn’t seem like much (it is not filled all the way to the top of the jar). The packaging is fine and very pretty, as a heavy glass jar with a sheet of mulberry (?) paper on top tied with some twine.
This is an excellent cream for the price, though I wish it was actually full to capacity rather than what seems like just 75% of the jar. Oh well, that’s just my tiny gripe. Otherwise, this is a great moisturizing cream that makes skin soft and bouncy. This is great for people with dry skin, especially now during the winter, but I’m not sure how it’ll work with oily skin. In all, a very good cream ^^
