I bought this BB Cake at the same time as The Saem’s other BB cake, the Eco Soul Luminous Real Serum BB Cake. I didn’t like that one much, and sadly, I like this one even less :(
I bought this in shade no.2 Natural Beige because I read reviews that said that these BB cake shades tend to run light. While I like this shade better than the Eco Soul Luminous Real Serum BB cake's shade no.2 because it is less pink, it is still not so suitable to my skintone. It is slightly too dark and I probably would have been better off buying the shade no.1. However, I can still make this work without it looking too bad.
Shade problems aside, this BB cake unfortunately looks really dry on my face. The ad photos suggest it is really moisturizing, but it just isn't. I have quite smooth skin and properly cleanse and moisturize my face before putting this on, but somehow this just finds dry spots to cling to and it looks bad >__<; misting my face with a facial mist helps, but doesn’t completely solve the problem. Maybe this will work better for people with oily skin. Applying this product with the included flocked puff isn’t the best method, it works better applied with a foundation brush or a beauty blender type of sponge. The coverage with this is is not so great, as my dark circles are still clearly visible with this on.
The packaging, however, is very pretty and classy and feels sturdy (even sturdier than its sister, the Luminous Real Serum BB cake). It also has a large, clear mirror that is very nice. I think the packaging is the only thing I really like about this product.
In all, I’m not thrilled about this BB cake at all and cannot really recommend this to anyone :( though, if you have oily skin and not combination-dry like mine, it might work for you.
