This is a thick, viscous liquid and not at all a 'lotion' like we're used to, nor like a watery toner. This is more like a thick serum type of consistency. This product has been very hyped and has earned a lot of stellar reviews so I was very curious if it would work for me.

In short-- my skin hates this :( I tried moving it around my skincare routine, seeing if it would work before toner, after toner, etc. It just doesn't work for me, however I try. It irritates my skin and causes some slight redness and makes my skin rough and develop some bumps over the course of a few days. It's not only me who has this type of reaction-- I also bought my best friend a bottle of this at a local Japanese skincare shop, unfortunately before I tried out my own bottle, and she had the same kind of reaction as me. We both have sensitive skin, so there must be something in this that our skin really disagrees with.

It's quite a shame as I've barely used any of the product-- my bottle is still practically full. I tried using it for about two weeks but just couldn't stand it anymore. I gave it to my mom who has dry, mature skin, and I hope it'll work much better for her than it did for me.

This lotion/toner works wonders for so many other people, but unfortunately, not for me :(
