I bought this cream because I wanted something that would help brighten my complexion over time, since it has a tendency to look dull. There aren't very many reviews on this online, but I bought it hoping that it would be good.
Well... I don't love it, but I don't really hate it either. I just dislike using it. I think it's a good cream, and hydrates nicely, but it leaves a white cast on my face that I cannot accept >__<;; because of this white cast, I cannot wear it under makeup, since it makes my face look really ghostly. I don't like using it in the evening either, since I feel like I have a film of cream sitting on my face, because of the visible white cast it leaves. Even if I put a small amount it still leaves the white cast. I guess this would be the "instant brightening" effect it's supposed to have, but if your skin is yellow-toned like mine is rather than pink-toned, it's going to look really unnatural.
Regardless of my dislike of using this, I have tried to use it on its own and it evened out my complexion subtly because of the white cast, but it's really not something I'd wear on its own every day. I have since given this to my mom, who has freckles and sun spots she's trying to fade. It seems to be working well for her, and it hydrates her mature skin nicely. So from that, I think this is a good cream, just if you can tolerate the white cast it leaves.
This cream also has a lot of nice botanical ingredients in it which is a plus for me, and the packaging is quite cute too. It's not something I'd repurchase for myself though. I can't really say if it works to lighten skin, but it helps fade dark spots at least a little bit, from what I've seen on my mom these past weeks. I think this would be good to use on spots like knees and elbows too to help lighten them.
If you're looking for a pretty good brightening cream and don't mind having a white cast on your face, I suggest you can try this out if you'd like.
